The Nielsen Group and Engel & Voelkers Kirkland take over Miami
EVX 2023 - Miami Beach We were invited to attend Engel & Voelkers Global Networking Event - EVX in Miami this month to connect with other top producers from all over the world! We had such a blast learning best practices to better serve our clients, seeing what the new EV brand can offer with Advanced Ai tech like chatgpt and 3D floorplans all while powering up our reach by gathering with 1,500 like minded advisors who truly encompass what it means to collaborate for clients. Here are my Top Five Takeaways with my first EVX 2023: 1. Engel & Voelkers is the most collaborative brand I’ve been a part of in 18 years of Real Estate. Being the “new” team in town, we didn’t know how received we’d be at a yearly Awards and networking event with 1,500 other top producing advisors. Most would be concerned of competing motives working different angles but everyone from event staff and office mates to other advisors and HQ Executives welcomed us with open arms! 2. Engel & Voelkers announced our “Refined” look showcasing the iconic Villa! While slightly reinventing luxury so that our unique properties can be displayed in the light their deserve we introdcued Lifestyle models for golf, mountain and ranch style homes all home sectors we see our clients gravitating towards. 3. Real estate business in general is REALLY hard. So many things are out of our control like global conflicts, national economic issues, local politics and general news media distortions. But, when things get hard, the best Realtors push through. Reknowned swimmer Diana Niad addressed this sharing her story of perseverance and how it took over 30 years for her to successfully swim from Cuba to Florida but she kept pushing. “If you do everyday in life so you can’t do it a fingernail better, you have no regrets.” 4. Being a Top Producer takes time. Be patient and persistent. It takes consistency and requires creativity. There are a million and one things to think about when showcasing properties, securing clients, demonstrating value and serving your teammates. Sometimes knowing what to do next is our largest challenge. Former collegiate track star and performance coach AK Ikwuakor shared wisdom on how to focus on a few “right moves” consistently leads to a lasting shift to how we approach daily life. 5. E&V values each individual advisor and loves to promote each others success. An entire dinner celebration revolved around 2022 Awards from Top Producing Individuals and Teams to the “Shops” that innovated the most and those Shops and Individuals that donated back to the Special Olympics a charity dear to the E&V brand. Competition breeds success and this brand sure is successful! BONUS: Turns out Real estate can be fun too! After the week of education and connection, HQ leased out Miami’s hottest nightclub where the likes of Usher and Farrel perform to show the love to our 1,500 advisors.
